VOLUNTEER BASE

Save Holland Lake is an ad-hoc group of citizen volunteers with the shared interest of preserving the pristine alpine lake, Holland Lake, and its peaceful surroundings for generations to come.

We first came together as a group of strangers in the fall of 2022 when POWDR Corporation was slated to take over Holland Lake Lodge with massive expansion plans. Three and half years later and no longer strangers, we are still keeping our finger on the pulse and doing the work.

During those early days, we had a Go Fund Me that helped pay for operational costs, such as the website. Unfortunately, those funds have dried up and we have been footing the bill.

The website is a vital tool. With an email list of over 600 people, we can reach out to people when necessary to communicate important news regarding Holland Lake. During USFS comment periods, the website allows us to create “Reading Rooms” so American citizens can read public comments to proposed actions by the Forest Service. Finally, we are able to consolidate and link important articles, editorials, and guest columns from news sources—a resource to help folks understand why these issues matter.

While the work to update the website is totally volunteer base, your donation helps pay for the subscription to keep the website engine running. Subscription costs are about 40/month. Even a donation of 10.00 will help!

THANK YOU

Your generosity and care for Holland Lake is what motivates us to keep going.
